Carcassone et Toulouse, France
We finally leave the weekend of comfort and head back on the northern trail. Thanks to a driver with an extensive knowledge of Languedoc, the region of France we were traveling through, we were dropped off in the medieval fortress city of Carcassonne, which we explored for the afternoon.

Across this wall, near the highway, we see an empty two-story house fenced off from the road; we enter through the backyard garden.
The next morning, upon hearing the sound of garbage trucks, Virgile rushed out to the nearby organic grocery store to dumpster dive this bucket of food. Onward, we continued towards Poitiers, bags filled with salvaged treasures...
