Les extrémités et les contradictions partout

Montpellier à Perpignan, France

If Montpellier is for les jeunes, Perpignan is for les vieux. The young, the old, the new, the abandoned. In Montpellier, fresh foods and clothes with hundred dollar price tags found on the streets where structures of daunting royal design cut corners.

The next day, after a three hour traffic jam, we stop at the Canal du Midi.

And later arrive in Perpignan, using the backroads of this French region. In Perpignan, the kitties use the window to enter the squat.

On one side of the town, the river runs like this.

After the train station, the river runs in its natural conditions.

We camp at the edge of the forested part of a residential neighborhood, sleeping to the sound of early Bastille Day Fireworks.
